No sleep ’til Tech-fest…..

Little under a week until we hit the stage at the New Cross Inn in London for the 2017 Tech-fest all-dayer.  We can’t wait to smash this one! Tons of great bands, including former Enso roster-mates Betraeus and our friends in Nycosia.
Tickets are only £8 in advance, or £10 on the door –  which at either price is an absolute bargain for over 13 hours of music.

In Other News:
Last weekend we went to Glastonbury and filmed the live-action parts for the video for Red Earth – the first track on our upcoming 4 track e.p. “Pariah”.   Behind the camera is our very good friend Nathan Hamley, who previously worked on our videos for In Vivo and Mechanical Rapture.

Here are a couple of stills from the location:

Huge thanks to Nathan for all of his continued hard-work.  Thanks also to Chris, Zoe and the rest of the cast.  Biggest thanks of all to the community at the Zig-Zag building in Glastonbury for very kindly letting us use their commune as a location for our shoot.  You are all freaking awesome!

Mammothfest 2016 – The Aftermath…..

This time last weekend we were at Mammothfest!!

So, without further ado – massive, pre-historic pachyderm-sized thanks to Steve Dickson, Adam Sedgwick, Bob Tett and the rest of the crew at Mammothfest – far too many to mention.  And of course, anybody who caught our set in the afternoon.  As ever, we had an absolute blast. I (Jason – Kinasis drummer) managed to chip a bit of bone off the tip of one of my fingers and re-broke one of my toes – so it was definitely a productive, if slightly painful set!

As planned, we opened our set with a brand-new track called ‘Red Earth’ – One of the new tracks we’ll be recording with Justin Hill (ex SikTh) in January next year (2017).  Seemed to go down well with the audience from where I was sat…. Hopefully that is a good sign!  That’s the one and only time we’ll be playing that song live until after it is recorded.  So if you were there – you got an exclusive preview of our upcoming material.

There is a review of our Mammothfest performance online at : http://www.brokenarrowmagazine.com/mammothfest-2016-sunday-prince-albert/

Unless we get any gig offers that we cannot refuse – Mammothfest was probably our last live date of 2016.  But we’ll be gigging again once we have finished recording our new material in the early part of 2017.

Until then, we’ll be polishing up all of our new material and making preparations for our trip into the studio with Justin. And working with our new manager Rachael on all of the other stuff that accompanies a new release – artwork, merch designs, tour dates etc. etc.
And of course creating and rehearsing a new live set, which incorporates the new material.

Mammothfest THIS WEEKEND!

Mammothfest is THIS WEEKEND in Brighton – Eeeeep!
Several of the venues have sold out, including the Albert, where we’ll be playing on Sunday.

It all kicks off with two events tonight – Tech-metal at The Haunt, headlined by Textures and Black-metal at The Green Door Store, headlined by Eastern Front.
Continuing tomorrow night at the Concorde 2, where Venom inc. will be headlining.
And finishing up on Sunday, with two all-day events – the Stoner stage at The Green Door Store, headlined by Conan. And of course the Rikstock/emerging bands stage at The Albert, where we’ll be making an appearance…..

If you have your Mammothfest tickets, we’ll see you at The Albert on Sunday. If you don’t have tickets – it’s already too late.  But, if you are in or around the Maidenhead area tomorrow night, we have a pre-Mammothfest warm-up gig at The Anchor in Maidenhead with our good friends Xerosun and Tindall.  So please come along!

Mammothfest 2016….

MammothFest2016

OK, so we are off to Brighton, to play the Rikstock/emerging bands stage at Mammothfest 2016 in a few weeks. We’ll be playing on Sunday 2nd October at The Albert with our very good friends Xerosun, Ascaris, Basement Torture Killings and The Heretic Order – along with Bloodyard, Spreading the Disease, Vrona, Killer Hurts, Hostile, Bleed Again, Chaos Trigger, Magna Carta and Here There Be Monsters.

We are currently attempting to get a new song rehearsed well enough, so we can debut it at Mammothfest. It might even be our opening number. So that will be something to look forward to!  In January 2017, we’ll be going into the studio with Justin from Sikth to record a new 4 song EP, which will feature this track and a few others……

We have also have a track featured on the official Mammothfest CD, which is the covermount CD on the Sept 2016 issue of Terrorizer magazine (featuring Devin Townsend on the cover)…. You can hear all about it from Mammothfests head honcho and all-round legend Steve Dickson in this video.

If you don’t already have tickets for Mammothfest 2016 – go and visit their website and buy, buy, buy!!

We also have a pre-Mammothfest warm up gig in Maidenhead with Xerosun and others on Saturday the 1st October 2016 at The Anchor… More details on this gig will follow in another post!

In the meantime, we’re off to rehearse.
See you in the pit!
